Welcome to MITE6024 Module

Welcome to the MITE6024. My name is Dr Daniel Churchill and you can find more information about me at http://www.learnactivity.com. This module explores various educational integrations of technology for teaching and learning, and highlights the theories of learning and relevant research underpinning these integrations. In addition the module explores innovative technology applications such as Web 2.0 and mobile technology, and how these apply, transform and challenge technology integration in education. Overall the module sets the context for your further study in the MSc program and aims to stimulate your interest to pursue strategic areas of technology integration and research in your own contexts.

At the end of the module the students will be able to
• Discuss effective technology uses in educational contexts
• Develop lessons plans to engage students in use of technology
• Describe key areas of research on IT in education
• Harvest, manage, and apply digital media in teaching and learning
• Demonstrate awareness of emerging technology and possibilities for educational applications
• Appreciate and apply technology supported learning strategies in their own learning

You can download the complete module outline HERE.
